Mars Information Services (Mars IS) is the global IT division of Mars Incorporated. The continuing growth of Mars and Mars IS means we can offer a range of exciting IT opportunities around the world.
We need associates with a high level of technical proficiency and unique IT and business skills. To deliver our strategy, we require IT associates to demonstrate leadership, operational excellence and the ability to develop a portfolio of solutions and cost effective IT services focused on the customers' needs.
Roles within Mars IS
Mars IS has four main divisions:
- Application development
- Support services
- Technology services
- Regional support
Ideal candidate profile
A Bachelors or Masters degree or similar IT qualifications and experience are essential to apply for an IT role in Mars.
For some technical roles professional accreditation is required; however, it is not mandatory for all roles. A good understanding or experience in support, business processes, technology & infrastructure support and/or an overview of IT project management is desirable.
The "IT leadership" role requires the following characteristics:
- Strong problem solving skills. Capable of high-quality decision making, problem solving, data collection and problem identification. Quality decisions often must be made with less than complete information, in little time, with few or no precedents to rely on
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal styles, communication skills, and conflict management are required to navigate through business challenges. Managerial courage and the ability to work with many different cultures are important to understand and be understood across the organization
- Team working. Build effective, highly motivated teams by working together to accomplish more than they could as individuals
- A strong drive for results. Deliver benefits to Mars Incorporated through the quality of its services. Our associates need to have the ability to manage projects, as well as teams to instigate the adoption of new business processes or technical solutions in line with the defined strategy
